Cosmetologists Chicago (CC) and its more than 8,000 salon professional members, enthusiastically invites all cosmetology students to participate in Rising Stars 2011 Hair, Make-up and Fashion Photo Competition JUST FOR STUDENTS!
Cosmetology students who are currently enrolled in a cosmetology program may enter as an individual or as a salon team of three (stylist, colorist and make-up artist). The Rising Stars photo competition encourages talent and creativity among students, for both technical execution and fashion awareness along with photo expertise. Entries are artistic yet “real” and show salon creativity by requiring both before and after photos of a model and/or client.
Makeover finalists will be judged and selected by Luis Alvarez of Aquage (and graduate of Pivot Point International Academy) and announced at the America’s Beauty Show Student Conference on Monday, March 14, 2011 at McCormick Place West.
One Rising Stars Grand Prize winner/team will receive:
* Cosmetologists Chicago membership for one year
* Free admission to America’s Beauty Show, March 12-14, 2011

* Winning photo entry on americasbeautyshow.com
* Commemorative Trophy
* Local and National Publicity
* Recognition at America’s Beauty Show

* A “swag bag” full of professional products

Finalists in these three school groups will each receive a one-year membership in Cosmetologists Chicago, free admission to the 2011 and 2012 America’s Beauty Shows, their photos featured on americasbeautyshow.com and will move on to the final judging and presentation at the America’s Beauty Show, March 12-14, 2011 in downtown Chicago, IL.
The deadline for entries is February 11, 2011. Applications and rules for the Rising Stars competition can be found at americasbeautyshow.com/starscontest or by calling 800-648-2505.
