Sexy Hair brought its A-game and A-team to New York to create a red, white and blue runway for designer, Indashio.  The theme for the  Spring/Summer 2013  show was “American Dream” (riffing on the presidential campaign) and Indashio's collection of patriotic-inspired looks included eclectic pieces in signature red, white and blue colors. To complement this look, Sexy Hair, under the guidance of Artistic Director Rafe Hardy, created high-volume,  texturized looks using new “Fun Sexy Hair.”  Available March 2013, "Fun Sexy Hair" will be offered in three temporary tints that can be airbrushed into the hair.

Sexy Hair's team consisted of winners from an internal contest;  education team members were asked to submit their ideas with the collection’s theme in mind. Indashio, along with members of the Sexy Hair team, selected the looks for the runway show. The creators of these winning styles became part of the NYFW Sexy Hair team. More than 40 looks were submitted, six of which were recreated on several of the runway show’s models.

“What I loved about this internal contest is that it gave our artists an opportunity to showcase their talents in avant-garde styling and opened our eyes to the creative and unique abilities of some of our new and younger education team members,” said Hardy.
