Is the way you are sleeping at night making you age faster? Find out.

Did you know that your sleeping position at night can have a profound effect on your face?
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, resting on your face on the pillow in the same way every night for years can lead to wrinkles. For those under the age of 35 you may not see the creases on your face right away, but as you get older the skin’s elasticity decreases and lines in the morning become more pronounced. Fortunately, there are ways of preventing getting old overnight and avoiding those dreaded “Sleep Wrinkles.”
Watch how you sleep.
According to CNN.com, the best sleeping position is on your back. It prevents neck and back pain, reduces acid reflux and minimizes wrinkles because you are sleeping in a neutral position. “Back-sleeping also helps prevent wrinkles, because nothing is pushing against your face,” notes Dee Anna Glaser, M.D., a professor of dermatology at Saint Louis University.
What if you sleep on your side?
Side sleeping is good for overall health – it’s good for your spine (try putting a pillow between your knees for extra support) and it reduces snoring. However, it does chaos on your skin over time. According to Murad Skincare, sleeping on your side or with your face down on the pillow causes wrinkles because of repetitive motion and gravity. When sleeping on your side your face assumes similar positions each night and can cause wrinkles. Gravity also pushes the skin on your face to one side or another, which can create fine lines and wrinkles.
What’s the good news?
Besides avoiding the sun, not smoking, getting adequate sleep, eating healthy among other things that claim to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, investing in the right pillow can also aid you in your quest to lifelong beauty.
The BEAUTFLY beauty pillow or pillow topper is designed for sleep comfort and support. Its unique shape allows for sleeping without touching the parts of your face where wrinkles often form. The pillow is shaped like a butterfly with wings that provide support for left and right sided sleeping.
The top of each wing has a circular opening that allows the face to rest without touching the bedding or pillow surfaces below. The pillow is designed to hug around you all night along and allows movement to either side while maintaining support for your head, neck, back and chest.
The BEAUTFLY pillow also accommodates different body types and measurements. The inside of the pillow is made of polyurethane foam and the cover is made of microfiber. It features three zippers, two on the holes on the inverted “U” to allow the cover to be changed and washed.
