Ted Gibson, one of the most sought-after editorial, runway, and celebrity hair stylists in the beauty industry, will travel to the San Diego area to present both an advanced academy and an evening inspirational runway show. Professionals interested in attending the advanced academy classes---a hands-on experience--can receive a special MODERN SALON rate.
On Thursday, October 1, Gibson will keynote “Beauty Behind the Fashion” at the Valencia Hotel in La Jolla. The event will shine the spotlight on the collaboration that occurs between hairstylists and fashion designers. A perennial presence backstage at the world’s leading fashion venues, Gibson will talk about the fusion of fashion and beauty on spring 2016 fashion runways. Bellus Academy in Poway, CA is sponsoring Beauty Behind the Fashion and asked Gibson to be the special keynote. Students at Bellus will assist with hair and makeup. For the professional community, Gibson and several members of his team (including his husband, renowned colorist Jason Backe) will present a ted gibson advanced academy on Friday, October 2, at Bellus Academy’s Poway campus. Gibson and team will present two professional-only programs:
A morning academy featuring a presentation and demo will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $50 and information is available at http://www.bellusacademy.edu/ted-gibson-advanced-academy/
A full-day experience including a presentation, demo, and hands-on experience with lunch will be presented from 10 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $400 but Modern Salon readers can enter the preferred professional code “modernsalon” to receive a special $250 rate.
