Sola Salon Studios recently hosted its Sola Sessions event in Jupiter, Florida, where over 250 Sola professionals were in attendance for the business and artistic education event.
This program was emceed by Kim Bennett Horvath, Sola Salon Studios' culture ambassador (as well as SOLA’s first-ever studio owner) and featured top industry notables including Sam Villa (Sam Villa Brand and Redken), Luis Alvarez and Nicole Fowler (BaBylissPRO), Veronica Ridge (Redken), Nina Kovner (PassionSquared), Corey Bakon, and Fernie Andong (HattoriHanzoShears) among others. Also presenting new marketing trends and business development techniques for owners was Sola’s VP Marketing and Education, Jennie Wolff.
In addition to the stage presentations, the attendees were able to also able to visit the Vendor Expo where top companies showcased new products to the group. SolaGenius, Muse Beauty, OPI, Platinum Seamless, MOP, ABBA, TruSTAR, Color Design, SalonCentric, and CosmoProf joined Sola to provide technology, makeup, salon tools, sundries, nail care, and more.
“Our Sola Sessions are designed to inspire, educate and motivate our studio owners from across the country, while also providing networking and collaboration opportunities,” commented Wolff.
The day-long event included specific presentations tailored to brand building, marketing, social media as well as artistic presentations. “Whether through Sola Sessions, or through our array of tools including our Sola Pro and SolaGenius apps, we strive to engage with our community of 10,000 independent business owners in a meaningful way that helps support their artistry as well as their business goals,” said Wolff.
This Spring’s Sola Session also included the announcement of a celebratory milestone for Sola: 10,000 salon owners, in over 400 locations, across North America. During the event, Sola’s first-ever studio owner, Kim Bennett Horvath, and the 10,000th studio owner, Katie Oaks, joined each other on stage in celebration of the industry milestone.
