Nobody knows the importance of deodorizing and the value of personal hygiene more than someone whose job requires repeated invasions of personal space. And thanks to our trusty Instagram followers, MODERN SALON is here to bring you some of their tried-and-true favorite deodorants.

@kiafaystyles: "I love my Tom's Natural!"
Nobody knows the importance of deodorizing and the value of personal hygiene more than someone whose job requires repeated invasions of personal space. Shampooing or applying toner at the bowl? Armpit-in-the-face. Creating a voluminous blow out? Hey, armpits. Cross-checking your layers or an even fringe? Armpit. Armpit. Armpit.
So, yeah, maybe it’s a little weird to see “deodorant” in the headline of a salon community, but GUESS WHAT?! Odor matters. And GUESS WHAT?! Deodorant helps.
And thanks to our trusty Instagram followers, MODERN SALON is here to bring you some of their tried-and-true favorites.

@dianaschmidtke1: On top of Dove, essential oil lavender throughout the day. It’s calming to both the artist and the client.
@kittylahairstylist: The only one that works for me is Arm and Hammer, powder-fresh of unscented. I don’t like B.O. and I don’t want to have to reapply throughout the day. But I also don’t like to smell like deodorant either.
@alicia.nichole25: Dove! Since I can’t find any natural deodorants I can wear.
@brianamarielawler: Alba! It’s amazing.
@_yareline_: Piperwai!
@allthingscory: If you are all-natural like me, go for Native deodorant. It’s pretty awesome. The lavender is my fave.

@beajaec: Primal Pit Paste
@mammajammag: Secret 48-hour
@joanmyers: InVitamin rocks, no aluminum
@kiafaystyles: Tom’s Unscented! It’s free of many chemicals and there is no overpowering frangrance. When I’m up close and personal with clients, I want to smell natural.
@bostonjosedoeshair: Degree every time!
@successful_bella_: Clarins
@kels_707: Coconut oil mixed with Baking Soda and I add vanilla extract to it! But if I don’t do natural, I use Secret.
@mkayyylene: My favorite aluminum-free deodorant is Zion Health Adama Clay in white pine. It smells really good and it lasts. Or Lavanila all-natural deodorant is great too but more pricey.
@lunelunita: I use Secret Vanialla. I live in a tropical island and it does wonders.
@kellystyles5683: Dove Sensitive
@ashley.anger: Schmidt’s Bergamot and Lime
@jerrysip: Baxter of California
@bizadah: My own! It’s so easy to find a recipe you love.
