Ted Gibson Launches "The Pink Campaign"

Ted Gibson salons launch "The Pink Campaign" to support the Susan G. Komen foundation to fight breast cancer. Together, with Hairdreams, Ted and team add pink hair extensions and donate proceeds for the month of October.

The Ted Gibson Salons, in both NYC and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, have launched "The Pink Campaign" for October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast cancer awareness is "very near and dear to my heart," Ted told me when I stopped by his NYC salon yesterday. "I lost my sister to breast cancer about two years ago. I want to do anything I can to prevent any more loss."

Ted has partnered with Hairdreams for this campaign. Anyone interested will receive up to six extensions to show support. The $25 donation will be handed over to the Susan G. Komen to raise awareness and search for a cure.

In this interview, Ted fills us in on the details. "The response has been incredible," says Ted. "We all want to stop this horrible disease."
