More than 600 salon professionals from 37 countries participated in the week long educational program that also featured an award ceremony, new product launches, plans for 2012 and strategies to maintain the double digit growth experienced in 2011. Karl-Heinz Pitsch, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sexy Hair Concepts hosted the conference which had multiple highlights.
Artistic Director Rafe Hardy and team spent much of the time prior to the grand finale teaching the latest cuts and designs at the “Cinamatic Cutpalooza” to the 200 educators attending the event. The key of the training was showing how to transform hair into four specific categories of “Volume”, “Straight”, “Curly” and “Texture”.
An important announcement was about the nationwide/worldwide “cut-a-thon” planned for October 10. “It’s designed to unite stylists for the greater good of doing something impactful to raise money for Look Good ... Feel Better,” says Sloane LaMartina, Public Relations Director. “Our goal is to get 1,000 salons to participate and we already had 30 salons volunteer before the conference was over.”
While chatting up the success of several products launched in 2011, the gathered were most excited about the new products launching this year including Big Sexy Hair Weather Proof Humidity Resistant Spray,
Curly Sexy Hair Curl Reactivator and Healthy Sexy Hair Beach Spray.
