Hailey Mahone (@haileymahonehair), located at The Style Studio, Texarkana, Texas, shares the details for this correction on her client who "had not had her hair done in 8 months, so there were a lot of things happening on her head." This transformation took 5 hours:
STEP 1: Apply Framesi lightener with 40 volume developer and Olaplex about a 1/2 inch away from the scalp to the gold blonde. Process for 45 minutes at room temperature. Rinse.
STEP 2: At the shampoo bowl, apply lightener with zero lift developer on the ends to try and lift some of the gold without damaging. Process for about 5 minutes keeping a close watch on the color. Rinse and apply Olaplex #2 for 10 minutes. Shampoo, condiiton and dry.
STEP 3: After drying, there was still a slight band around the mid-shaft. Apply lightener with 20 volume and Olaplex to the banded area. Separate these pieces with foil to create a little heat to help lift evenly. After about 20 minutes, the hair was evenly lifted to a pale yellow all over. Rinse and dry the hair.
STEP 4: Apply Paul Mitchell UTA + UTP / 20 volume. Process for 30 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and Olaplex #3 deep condition for 10 minutes.
