The MashUP event was held the evening after the ISSE Long Beach show floor closed on Saturday, Jan. 24. The event was held at the Renaissance Hotel, was hosted by MashUP co-founders Tony Beckerman and Teri Donnelly, and raised more than $15,000 for The Thirst Project.
Eden Sassoon and Beckerman did interviews on the green carpet. Following, more than 250 industry players mingled, enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and learned more about The Thirst Project.
"Tonight we're making the world a better place," Beckerman said. "Like so many of us who have contributed to changing and improving the craft over the last few decades, we can now stand together by giving back to something we can't live or work without—clean water."
The Thirst Project builds fresh-water wells in under-developed countries to sustaina healthy life for children and communities around the globe. This leading youth water activism organization uses 100 percent of public donations raised to provide clean, safe water.
Sponsors of the event included Kevin Murphy, Pravana, Eufora, Bio Ionic, Eden by Eden Sassoon, ColorProof, Gary Lyons Photography, Paul Mitchell Schools, Allied Health and more.
The MashUP will be held again during the weekend of ISSE Long Beach 2016 on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016.
