Salon professionals in New England can take a free, web-based course to learn how to recognize potentially dangerous, and even deadly, melanomas on your clients’ skin. Called “The Skinny on Skin,” the program was developed by the Melanoma Foundation of New England to certify salon professionals in helping to fight this increasingly common disease, which can be treated successfully when discovered early enough.

Even if you do not live or work in New England, you can educate yourself by watching the Skinny on Skin video. Don’t forget to check yourself first! And make regular appointments with a dermatologist to give you a full body check.
