TIP OF THE DAY: Perfect Sectioning for a Color Veil

Organic Salon Systems Technical and Educational Director Rebecca Gregory shares her TIP OF THE DAY on placing the perfect sectioning to create the perfect color veil. "The consultation is key here," she says. "I created this sectioning based on the fact that this client wears a center parting. If she wore a side parting I would section off that parting." The four wide triangles are placed as shown to allow for different shading, allowing multiple formulas to be applied within each triangle. "For this model I will be placing a lighter shade in the top triangle and alternating the lighter shade with a slighter darker shade in the lower triangles. This can obviously be mixed and matched by placing the lighter shade in the lower triangles and a slightly darker shade along the part."
