Nikki A. Straw of Glam Hair Studio (@GlamHairStudioAk), Anchorage, Alaska, posted "Ready, Set, Glam" that caught our eye.

"This is one of my most recent pieces of work," Straw says. "My client had about 2 inches of level 5-6 grow out. Her ends had been boxed died more times than she could remember and we're currently a faded mess of a level 6-7. She wanted a bright, dimensional red. Definitely not a natural red, but not fire-engine red either."

Here she shares the HOW TO:

Step 1: Foil a partial highlight and apply Paul Mitchell Dual Purpose Lightener10 volume and lightener to her new growth and 25 volume and Olaplex through her ends. Lift to desired level and then shampoo.

Step 2: Then apply Schwarzkopf Igora Royal 6-88 with 0-88 and 20 volume developer to her new growth working between foils.

Step 3: Apply Schwarzkopf highlift series L-88 mixed with 40 volume and Olaplex through her ends. Process for 40 minutes.

Step 4: Rinse and apply Olaplex #2. Leave on for 5 minutes and then shampoo.

Step 5: Tone with Paul Mitchell Shines XG in 7RO for 10 minutes.

Straw points out that this method was used on this particular hair as a color correction "so to achieve this look on another client, I would have used a much different approach."
