Baugh specializes in balayage and dimension, and her work is the perfect example of how the right color and tools can add strength, movement and texture back into the hair. She used Wella BlondorPlex Powder Lightener to execute the high contrast ribbon foilyage, resulting in a beautiful and bookmark-worthy bronde.
“Our goals for the day were to add some dimension and make those bright pieces pop!” Baugh explains. “We added some lows within so the lighter pieces would pop more, and then I brought ribbons through the top and tipped out the ends. Mission accomplished.”

I used Wella BlondorPlex in my foils. 3% (10 vol) is good to start, 6% (20 vol) to finish.
After I rinsed out her lightener, I applied the WellaPlex No.2 Bond Stabilizer to strengthen those bonds and rebalance the pH.
Finished with a neutral gloss to counter the yellow/gold tones. I love mixing the /73’s with the /71’s in Wella Color Touch – it creates the prettiest tones!
Styled with a 1.25 inch iron.
