Amanda Joseph (@thehearsalon) of the Mia Bella Salon, Seattle, Washington sent this gorgeous transformation to MODERN and we just had to share with you. According to client Maria: "I have always colored outside the lines with my hair, but this time I wanted to do something that reflected my personality more and green is my favorite color. So why not? I am for freedom of expression and I feel like my hair is one of the best mediums for that."
Here Joseph offers the HOW TO:
Step 1. Balayage using Kenra amonia free bleach blended with 30 volume developer and Olaplex.
Step 2. Process under low to medium heat for 15 minutes. "For the color we are doing you don't need to get the hair too light."
Step 3. Shampoo and condition hair with luke warm water and then dry hair completely.
Step 4. Apply Joico VERO K-PAK Color Intensity semi-permanent in shade "Peacock Green" over the light pieces of hair.
Step 5. Process at room temp for 15 mins and then for improved longevity, process for 5-10 more minutes under medium heat.
Step 6. Shampoo and condition with a cuticle sealing shampoo and deep conditioner.
Step 7. We then cut into an A-line bob and styled using a wand with the following products: Sojourn monoi oil, Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine, Big Sexy Hair Powder Play and a light hair spray.
