Robin Del Toro (@ms_robinita), an artist at The Cutting Room Salon, Tracy, CA, says "Hair is my life. It is always on my mind, some way or another. I absolutely love the reward of doing color, turning something that someone was ashamed to take out of an elastic and turning that into something she can't stop looking at. It is the best feeling!"

When we saw this transformation on Instagram, we asked for more information. Here Del Toro shares details:

"My client, Taylor, came to me for the first time wanting a teal ombre. She hadn't touched her hair since January, but I immediately noticed a broken section at the nape of her neck. I knew whatever I did, I'd have to be careful."

Step 1: Begin by filling the midsection with 30 ml of Joico RC6 and 60 ml Activator.

Step 2: Simultaneously foil the ends with 35 volume and 1/4 of Olaplex #1. Process for 20 minutes. Rinse and blow dry.

Step 3: Apply 30 ml Joico A3 mixed with 10 ml N4 and 80 ml Activator to the previously filled area. Using all Joico shades, simultaneously apply a mixture of 2oz of peacock green, 1 oz of cobalt blue, and 2 oz of clear to the ends.

Step 4: Process for 20 minutes and then rinse. Apply Olaplex #2, and then shampoo and condition.
