Jessica Delagarza (@jess8585) admits she's "been a hair stylist since I was 6 years old!" but couldn't go "professional" until 2012 after earning her hours at the Aveda Institute Dallas. "Hair and makeup has been a passion of mine since I can remember and I love learning new things and also teaching people what I know. I currently work at Studio 410 in Dallas. It has been the foundation for me and all I have learned since I started."
Delagarza tagged #ModernSalon with this transformation and we had to know more.
Here she shares the HOW TO:
Step 1: Blend Redken Flash Lift with 30 volume (1:2 ration). Stay off scalp and process for 15 minutes.
Step 2: Blend 2 scoops Redken Flash Lift with 20 volume and 1/4 oz of a bond builder. Apply to the previously bleached hair through the ends and process another 15 minutes.
Step 3: Blend Redken Flash Lift with 20 volume and apply to the remaining new growth closest to the scalp. Cover with a cap and process another 25- 30 minutes. Rinse and towel dry.
Step 4: Section the hair into quadrants from the client's prefered parting.
Step 5: Blend two separate toners: formula A: Redken Shades EQ 9B with 10 volume and in a separate bowl formula B: 9T with 10 volume.
Step 6: Apply formula A from scalp 2 inches out in each section.
Step 7: Apply formula B on the rest of the hair. Blend well to blur any line of demarcation. Process for 10-20 minutes.
Step 8: Rinse thoroughly then apply step 2 of a bond builder and process for a minimum of 10 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition with Joico Kpak. Cut and style with Kenra Blow Dry Spray, Bed Head After Party then spray Bed Head Head Shot Shine Spray.
