As a hairdresser, no doubt you’ve experienced women in your chair who have had to say a painful goodbye to their hair due to the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.

Designed to empower those fighting and survivors, Sky and Livi, a unique personal diamond jewelry company, has found a way to convert a lock of hair into a lab-created diamond.

“Our company exists to transform a heartbreaking circumstance into an uplifting experience, creating a symbol of strength and beauty,” says founder Anjanette Sinesio. “A woman’s diamond, fashioned into a beautiful pendant, acts as a tool and symbol of her endurance and victory.”

Anjanette Sinesio founded Sky and Livi in 2012 to offer a service and  product  that  helps  bring  light, beauty, hope and inspiration  to  the otherwise dark space a woman can find herself in while facing the side effects of cancer treatments.

The  company  is  named  after Sinesio’s nieces,  Skyler and  Olivia,  who inspire  her  daily. Sinesio  strives  to  be  a  positive role model for both Skyler and Olivia, much like her Aunt Barbara, who lost her battle with cancer, was for her. By drawing upon her own expertise, Sinesio developed an inventive way for those undergoing cancer treatments by taking a small lock of their hair and using it to create a carbon  profile  that,  through  a  detailed  scientific  process,  forms  a  real  and  beautiful laboratory-created personal diamond.
