A special tribute to honor Vidal Sassoon will be held October 20, 2012 in Edison, New Jersey. The tribute is the brainchild of Andre Chiavelli, Emiliani's Executive Vice President of Sales, in an effort to honor Sassoon, our industry icon, who passed away May 9, 2012.
"We wanted to plan something special here to honor Vidal," says Andre. "There is a big Memorial taking place in London right before Salon International in London, and we wanted to something in the United States to follow up that tribute."
To kick off Emiliani's Beauty Expo, Andre has organized "Runway V, Vidal Sassoon Special Tribute". The two hour event will feature special guests including Vidal's son, Elan Sassoon and a main stage presentation dedicated to Vidal's legacy. The show will feature top artists, many of whom owe their careers to Vidal Sassoon. "23 artists will be showing Sassoon inspired models wearing fashions created by 7 top designers," says Andre. "Ted Gibson is making a special appearance to talk about the importance of Vidal to the industry. It will be an amazing event."
