Hours before the competition, finalists prepared their final look backstage, concentrating on creating an over-all look that included not only color and style but also wardrobe and make-up.

Students presented their final look on stage at America's Beauty Show for a panel of judges that included The Doves, Nick Arrojo, Sassoon Academy Executive Education Director Stephen Moody, PGSP Education Director Carole Protat & Clairol Professional's Lead Color Master Anita Gutierrez. First place was awarded to the student with the highest judge's score in combination with the loudest applause from the audience. A crowd of the finalists supporters gathered to scream and applaud as the students presented their models.

Creative Director for P&G Salon Professional and Master of ceremonies Fabio Sementilli was proud to announce the winners of PGSP Building the Next Generation Student Stylist Competition and handed each winning student stylist an over-sized $1,000 check and 1st place trophy.
