Give yourself time to plan: “This took months and I practiced on mannequin heads. We had one hour to create the look during the competition so wanted to make sure I was able to do it within that time frame.”
Organize a great team: “Surround yourself with people you can trust who have your same vision—especially a great photographer to help direct you. Remember to focus on the beauty, but fashion and background are still important.”
Get a great model: “It really does come down to how she works in front of the camera. Even if you and your team have created a perfect look, if she doesn’t carry it off, it will not look good.”
