Stay hyped up during the holiday season
A rigorous holiday season adds stress and drains stamina. Geno Stampora (genostampora.com), recently named by NAHA into the prestigious Hall of Leaders, knows how to keep salons and their teams hyped up for the holidays.
Special Hair Styling Tips
To create a strong curl, suggests KMS’ Edwin Johnston, apply a volumizer like KMS California addvolume Body Build Detangler to damp strands and dry the hair. Then mist individual sections with a heft enhancer like KMS California Sea Salt Spray, reheat the hair with a blow dryer, curl each section around a round brush, slip out the brush and replace it with a smaller Velcro roller. Wait until the hair cools completely before removing the roller.

When Beauty Systems Group held its recent Fashion Frenzy hair styling competition in conjunction with a regional show in Schaumburg, Illinois, MODERN Editor Laurel Smoke and Associate Editor Alison Shipley helped judge the results with industry consultant Geno Stampora on stage to emcee.
Classroom Antics
This week at school has been SUCH a blast. While yes, we did have a 50-question test to study for, we also got to learn how to sculpt an increased-layered form cut and we got to shampoo and drape each other. Awesome!
