When Beauty Systems Group held its recent Fashion Frenzy hair styling competition in conjunction with a regional show in Schaumburg, Illinois, MODERN Editor Laurel Smoke and Associate Editor Alison Shipley helped judge the results with industry consultant Geno Stampora on stage to emcee.

Along with famed photographer Babak and KMS Platform Artist Kaycee Clark, Shipley helped judge the creative looks on day one and, with her team, declared the winning stylist team of Donna Ross and Tracey Burnap from Salon 134 West in Palatine, Illinois.

On day two, Smoke joined Babak and Zano Salons and Day Spas owner Denise Provenzano to judge the student competitors. The winners on day two were: Maria Rago, Angela Minnich, Haden Haworth and Adrian Dime from Steven Papageorge Academy in Chicago.

On both days, the winners won a photo shoot with Babak, which they did on site.
