Bedhead's Candy Fixations Launched

Bedhead “Candy Fixations” was launched at a private party during Cosmoprof earlier this week at City Center in Las Vegas. The Eve Nightclub was transformed with candy, music and models sporting festive coifs created with the new texture products. Distributors, VIP’s and the press were introduced to the new line made up of Sugar Dust Root Lifting Hair Powder (to build depth and lift at the roots), Glaze Haze Semi-Sweet Smoothing Serum (to help resist humidity for 12 hours), Totally Baked Meringue Styling Prep (for layerable base texturizer), Sugar Shock Bodifying Sugar Spray (to add texture and manageability) and Mega Whip Marshmallow Texturizer (a moldable product for thick, coarse hair).

Creating Colored Tips (Check out Lauren Conrad’s!)

Reality star, author and designer Lauren Conrad recently created a splash when she showed up at a Hollywood event sporting light blue tips in her California blonde hair. Though subtle in color, the new look turned quite a few heads. Why? It’s a dramatic departure from her more demure headband-or-ponytail type of style—and more along the lines of a look we’d see (and have seen) on rockers like Pink and Avril Lavigne, or coming down the fashion runway. Stylist Nick Britton of Rocstar Hair in Chicago says colored tips are more on trend now than ever, and gives us his steps for achieving them.
