Damage from heat styling is a concern for everyone, though it effects different hair types in different ways. When moisture is stripped from hair due to overdrying, it prevents styles from lasting. For instance, if hair was blowdried straight and moisture was removed due to high temperatures, then when moisture from the air reenters the hair shaft, texture will return to the hair and the efforts put into straightening the hair will be lost. Additionally, the rear filter reduces the accumulation of dust and prevents hair from entering the dryer, protecting the motor and preventing overheating.
