Have you ever made a difficult decision when you were angry, hurt, fearful, or challenged? I sure have, and the results were not favorable. So before advancing in your career be sure to take inventory of these valuable characteristics.

Just the other day I conducted a training for a group of salon managers. There were approximately 400 of them in the room. The atmosphere was high energy with an aura for learning. These managers wanted and needed tools to help them succeed and to help their teams win big. Everyone in the room seemed to value education, and this made me excited!
Before giving the managers new tools for success, I decided to share a paradigm that can be an asset for all beauty industry professionals if utilized. What is a paradigm? It is a way of thinking; it’s a person’s frame of mind. When challenges arise throughout a person’s career it is important to train the mind to have the right thought process.
Have you ever made a difficult decision when you were angry, hurt, fearful, or challenged? I sure have, and the results were not favorable. So before advancing in your career be sure to take inventory of these valuable characteristics:
AT T I T U D E
Have a continuous desire to learn.
D E T E R M I N AT I O N
Obstacles must be overcome.
D E D I CAT I O N
Quitting is not a choice.
H UM B L E
Live modestly.
There are many valuable characteristics that can be added to the formula for success. However, with these four, you’ll be off to a value driven start.
