GKHair was ready for its close up when the company appeared in the official presenter gift lounge at the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards February 23 in Santa Monica, California. The awards recognize achievements in independent film making and many of the nominees tried out GKHair products in the lounge and lined up for a goodie bag that included an on-the-go kit that was created exclusively for the event. The kit contained popular GKHair products including Dry Shampoo, Light Hold Hair Spray, Shaping Wax, Serum and Mini-Tamer Iron.
Among the stars who appeared at the gift lounge were Quvenzhane Wallis, Jeremy Renner, Kyle MacLauchlan, Marcia Gay Harden, Chris Tucker, Laura Dern and Bryan Cranston. GK Hair offered several celebrity guests the ELITE BLACKCARD, the company’s access to a taming treatment at a GKHair signature salon in New York or Los Angeles.
