ICMAD, the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors, is presenting its annual CITY Awards Cosmetic Innovator of the Year awards on June 18, 2013 at Battery Gardens in New York City. The award was created nine years ago to recognize small, indie companies who have developed new skin, makeup, hair and fragrance product innovations that are allowing them to compete with large multi-nationals. The awards honor global products that have advanced their product categories to and are in a position to receive wider recognition.
The deadline for entries is April 30. Award winners will earn a spot at the ICMAD Annual Trunk Show. The CITY Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts and media editors. Previous winners include IT Cosmetics, Murad Skin Care, and NYX Cosmetics. Winning the “Cosmetic Innovator of the Year” Award informs customers and distributors of the unique and influential attributes of these new products that include filling a previously unmet need and displaying vigorous sales or an innovative marketing campaign
Entry fees are $300 for ICMAD members and $500 for non-members. Applications for the 2013 CITY AWARDS are available at icmad.org.
