Employment opportunities are expected to grow 20 percent within the field of cosmetology over the next decade. To help students interested in the profession meet their career goals, Sport Clips Haircuts, a leading men’s and boys’ hair care franchise and the American Crew Partner School Program have teamed up to award 15 $1,000 scholarships to students. The Georgetown, Texas-based company has more than 1,200 stores across the country and created the Access to Cosmetology Education (ACE) Scholarship Program to award scholarships to deserving students enrolled in American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) member schools.

This is the sixth year Sport Clips is offering the ACE program and is in the process of presenting educational funds to four eligible candidates who meet academic and essay requirements. To date, Sport Clips has awarded $36,000 in scholarship money to promote quality cosmetology education.

“We’re honored to reward these talented and hardworking individuals who may one day make up the Sport Clips workforce,” says Julie Vargas, director of career opportunities.  “Students who applied and have been selected expressed why they chose cosmetology as a career and communicated where they see themselves within the industry. In order to help offset the cost of cosmetology school, these scholarships will be applied to their tuition and other educational expenses and will hopefully help them succeed in a profession I’ve enjoyed myself for more than two decades.”

Recipients of this year’s scholarships, to date, their schools, and the Sport Clips area developers in their regions, include:

In Dubai, Clients Visit the Salon Every Week. Here’s What That Market Can Teach You

In Dubai, a salon visit isn’t an appointment. It’s a weekly routine, and clients can spend $800 to $1,400 a month on it, according to Gaurav Tripathi of MADI International. On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
