Keratin Complex announced that its EBO (Express Blow Out) is getting a new name and refreshed, vibrant neon-pink packaging. The same 15-minute hair-smoothing and color-locking treatment is now called KCEXPRESS.
KCEXPRESS is an add-on in-salon service that lasts up to six weeks. With an average price of $75.00, Keratin Complex boasts the service locks in hair color, smoothes, boosts shine, increases manageability, and combats frizz.

“To support our messaging and focus on KCEXPRESS, we have developed a customizable calculator to help stylists understand the potential financial impact of adding KCEXPRESS to their color services,” added Hyams. “By answering three simple questions about the number of chairs in the salon, the number of color services they do per week, and the percentage of those services they think they could add KCEXPRESS to, salon professionals now have the ability to see in real time how much they stand to earn simply by adding 15 minutes to their color service.”
Step 1: Apply the desired color or lightener formulas. Process color or lightener according to manufacturer directions.
Step 2: While hair color is processing, thoroughly shake the KCEXPRESS bottle. Pour approximately 1 to 1 1/2 ounces of product into a bowl and let sit for 10-15 minutes to aerate.
Step 3: After client’s hair color is processed, wash once with any Keratin Complex shampoo to remove the color. Rinse completely and then lightly shampoo once with KC PRIMER Keratin Pre-Treatment Shampoo. Towel-dry hair well.
Step 4: Using one- to two-inch subsections, apply the treatment with an application brush 1/8 inch from the scalp through to the ends. Comb each section with a fine-tooth comb to ensure even distribution. (gloves should be worn during this process.) Once complete, blow-dry the hair 100%.
Step 5: Using the Keratin Complex Stealth V professional smoothing iron between 380º to 400º F, start at the nape and pass the iron over one- to two-inch subsections. Slowly move the iron from the roots to the ends, passing over each section two to four times.
Step 6: After a minimum of eight hours, cleanse with Keratin Complex Keratin Care Shampoo and Conditioner or Keratin Complex Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner.
Aftercare: The client should use the appropriate Keratin Complex Shampoo, Conditioner, and styling products, along with Keratin Complex Keratin Obsessed Multi Benefit Treatment Spray to ensure treatment longevity.
