The born and bred New Yorker (born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens) has a very special PERSONAL STYLE!

I am known as: the go-to resource and authority for textured hair and hair education.

I would love to makeover: my mother! Who can relate? She’s a feisty little firecracker, and I would love to give her a whole new look and a photoshoot to memorialize it.

Favorite item in my wardrobe: black pants or anything black—it’s the hairstylist in me. You can dress it up or dress it down and black goes with everything.

Favorite accessory: a good statement necklace, but my hair is the ultimate accessory.

If I hadn’t become a salon professional I would have become a: creative content producer or event planner.

Most people would be surprised that I: am married with kids. I’m not sure why that shocks everyone!

My guilty pleasure: is the Real Housewives of Atlanta—I just can’t stop watching.

For inspiration I: read, listen to audiobooks, watch videos and attend workshops in order to improve my craft, stay current and develop personally.

Best piece of advice I ever received: never give up. You’ll get there as long as you keep going. Most people quit before they get to the finish line.

My mentor: is my Dad. He is a vault of gems and wisdom. I rarely make any important move without consulting him first. I know he always has my best interest at heart, and I feel so grateful for his guidance.

My style icon: is Michelle Obama (her effortless elegance) mixed with a little New York style.

My best vacation was: a family cruise to Mexico. It’s rare that we all get together, and it was such a treasurable moment that I will cherish for a lifetime. We laughed, explored, ate, enjoyed shows and danced.

Every beauty professional should: never stop learning. Invest in yourself, in your health, in love, in time, in your finances and in education. We CAN have it all!

My secret weapon is: my spirituality and belief system. It keeps me grounded, aligned and optimistic in what can sometimes appear as challenging times.

I relax by: unplugging from the world, slowing down and enjoying the moment.

My goal as a professional is to: be in/of service, add value, leave places better than I found them and operate in excellence.

I became a salon professional because: at a young age, I discovered the gift of healing through hair sessions. I love witnessing the transformation that occurs when a client starts to realize their full beauty potential. It transcends beauty and flows into other areas of their life. I help them bring out their inner and outer beauty.

I am most proud of: my ability to push through adversity. I’ve had so many setbacks in life, but I always bounce back stronger and better than I was before.

Favorite place on earth is: out in nature, especially in the water.

My favorite styling trick or tip is to: take a moment to understand the canvas (hair) that you’re working with during your consultation. Determine hair type, texture, density and porosity, and use this information to create a road map and proper hair care regimen. [Ciceron uses Oribe Priming Lotion Leave-In Conditioning Detangler.]

The one tool or product I use most often is: leave-in conditioner. It’s my go-to first step for all hair types and textures. It hydrates, detangles, evens out porosity and prepares the hair for other styling products, if necessary.

The talent I would most like to have is to be a: professional dancer. If you’re asking about a hair related talent, it would be master colorist. It’s a skill/talent I didn’t spend enough time developing, and I think it would be the icing on my cake.

My mantra is: Educate, elevate, and inspire. That’s the intention I set before sharing anything with the world.

My vision: A world where everyone lives in their highest possibility and knows that they matter.
