Sola Salons made its New York Fashion Week debut as the official hair sponsor for Alice + Olivia’s SS24 presentation on Saturday, September 9th. Thirteen of Sola Salons’ independent beauty professionals collaborated with Matthew Curtis, the lead hairstylist for Alice + Olivia’s presentation, to craft distinctive hairstyles that complemented this year’s theme, inspired by Truman Capote’s Swans.

Sola Salons hand-selected thirteen leading Sola Salons beauty professionals who worked alongside Curtis to create stunning hairstyles for the 30 models who showcased Alice + Olivia’s SS24 designs. The beauty professionals who operate out of Sola locations across the country include Kimberly Loomis, Serina Battaglini, Kayla Orth, Cuyler Engram, Joey Figueiredo, Ashley Lantz, Gisaura Laporte, Roxanne Muir, Vanora Hawkins, Meaghan Masterson, Danielle Garay, Samanta Pinto, and Kelsey Walsh.

For its debut, Sola Salons also partnered with haircare brand, Living Proof which served as the official hair product sponsor for Alice + Olivia’s SS24 presentation. Too Faced Cosmetics served as the official makeup product sponsor at this year's presentation to complete the beauty looks.

The Ballroom Bun

High buns encrusted with crystals and peals; or playfully adorned with ribbon.
- Using a flat iron, bend some texture into hair and create a center part.
- Create two ponytails. One at the nape of the neck and one at the crown. Use Living Proof Full Dry Volume & Texture Spay to create soft texture.
- Rope braid the two ponytails using Living Proof No Frizz Smooth Styling Serum and slightly pull rope braid apart.
- Pin two rope braids to create a voluminous, center bun.
- Adorn bun with pearls, crystal encrusted bobby pins, or tie a grosgrain ribbon around the finished bun.
