Lauren QuickOn Sunday, April 23, 2017, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Salon in Carmel, Indiana, opened its doors from 12-6 p.m. with Kenra Professional to raise money for Dress for Success Indianapolis.
During the Hair for Success event, KKBB stylists, #Kreate team stylists and three special guest stylists—Frances Canola, Nora Dababneh and Emma Hancock—used Kenra's new Studio Stylist Express 10-minute permanent color to perform free color services. For every color service, Kenra donated $5, and the brand donated another $5 for every photo tagged #HairForSuccess on social media.
According to its website, Dress for Success empowers women "to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life." Kenra and KKBB served mostly women in the Dress for Success program on Sunday to help them look and feel their best.
"Being a part of the Hair for Success event was such a rewarding opportunity," said Rose Holt, Kenra regional education manager. "It truly drives home the impact of the hair industry and how much of a role beauty can play in making someone feel good both inside and out."
At the end of the day, the stylists had performed 65 color services, and Kenra presented Dress for Success Indianapolis with a check for $3,000.
"It was a huge honor working with Kenra Professional and their amazing team at Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Salon raising money and making women feel empowered, strong, worthy and beautiful!" said Dababneh in an Instagram post.
