(Photo by Jeff Vespa/WireImage) Actress Emma Stone turned heads on the Golden Globes red carpet with her Bordeaux colored Lanvin gown, smoky eyes and her romantic, yet rough-edged hair style.

Celebrity stylist Mara Roszak created The Help star’s style, using a trio of hair helpers from Matrix. She revealed that her goal was to create an edgy, effortless effect with Stone’s ‘do, while keeping the young actress looking feminine. The key to this, says Roszak, is to create a highly textured foundation.

Try it: Apply Matrix Total Results Amplify Foam Volumizer to damp hair and rough dried strands to encourage natural texture. Then, wind small sections of hair around a one-inch curling iron. Add a ab of Matrix Total Results Curl Contouring Lotion to tame frizz and flyaways, and enhance wave definition. “This product boosts body, bounce and shine as it nourishes with light moisture for lasting definition,” says Matrix Artistic Directors Brian and Sandra Smith.

Twist the lengths, gather the hair back, and loosely secure it at the nape, forming a casual chignon and allowing random strands to fall freely around the face. For a final touch, embellish the look with some notable bling!
