Inspired by the iridescent mother-of-pearl coloring found on the inside of an Abalone Shell, haircolorist Alix Clymer @thereal_omgiloveyourhair created this multi-dimensional look full of violet, silver and sea blue tones.
Clymer used her signature sectioning technique to create fluidity throughout the canvas. Her goal was to change the perception of tones before your eyes. According to Clymer, the secondary tones are brought forth by juxtaposition of tonal value.
“This look is a soft, yet bold transfer of color in combination with an arousing dance of every change color the eye is sure to enjoy,” she says. “Kenra Color makes some amazing shades to play with! I went straight over my client’s fade from her previous color. I used 9-8-7 VM and 8 SM with 9 volume in slices using my sectioning technique, adding some signature flare with Kenra Color Creatives in Blue, Teal and Violet.
