TRANSITION: Warm Blonde to Cool Beige Blonde

Anne Moratto | January 23, 2016 | 1:01 PM

How cool is it that Lauren Wheeler (@Lo_Wheelhouse),  a stylist and owner of Wheelhouse Salon in San Clemente Beach, CA, so efficiently—and generously—shares her process and formula on Instagram with these photos and text? Very cool. "I applied my foils ear-to-ear and part way down the crown and I foiled mostly the dark roots," says Wheeler.

Read both the instructions on the image and those below to see how his talented colorist transitioned her client's warm blonde into an icy beige blonde.

PRODUCTS: She used all Kenra Professional color with Wella Freelights Clay Based Enlightener and Olaplex.

FIRST STEPS: After achieving a Level 10 lift, rinse, towel dry and tone at bowl.

NEXT: Follow with Steps 4 and 5 from the photo.

MAKEOVER: Three Sessions Of Beauty

Maggie Mulhern | March 2, 2017

Jenn Malone (@jmalonehair) at Agence Salon, San Dimas, California, says her client "had 85% virgin hair. Her goal is to be a 'rooty' platinum blonde while still keeping the 'lived in' look. My main goal was to get her to her desired color, while still maintaining the integrity of her hair. Patience is the key in achieving this!" How to here.
