Project Runway and celebrity stylist George Ortiz has passed away on Nov. 15, 2016.

According to Ortiz's Facebook and Instagram profiles, he worked on Project Runway, was frequently on set as an editorial stylist and had a number of celebrity clients, including Glenn Close.

Many in the industry are mourning the death of Ortiz. Models, photographers, fellow stylists and more have shared their sadness on social media:

"It saddens me to share that a role model, mentor, hairstylist and loving guy George Ortiz has passed away. I am still waiting to find out what happened, but I am so upset about this. George was a character indeed, but I learned so much from him, and he blessed me with opportunities I will always be grateful for.” —Stephen Marinaro, TheSalonGuy

"RIP George Ortiz, I'm so grateful to have met you and worked with you. You were such an amazing spirit filled with so much talent and passion." —Peter Orcinoli, Halo Beauty Group

"This is so sad to hear. I was just talking to him about doing a shoot together. What a loss. You never know what people are battling. I pray for everyone and anyone struggling with themselves. You are loved. Know that." —Clifton Prescod, Clifton Prescod Photography

"He was amazingly talented. May he RIP." —Deborah Salgado, Makeup by Debby

"You will be missed, George. You pushed me in ways that helped me be a better hairdresser." —Linh Nguyen, editorial hairstylist

"Always think about our fun times on set together. You will be missed." Tanisha Harper, model

Marinaro said on Facebook that he began putting together a documentary about Ortiz in 2010.

"I never finished, and much of the footage I have lost somewhere," Marinaro says. "Please share this if you knew him, loved him and want to remember seeing his love and passion for life and his craft.”
