The amount of education that is offered at the International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE) is better than ever this year. Along with professional education classes in hair, nails, skin and business (including hands-on classes and CIDESCO Section USA skin classes) there will be a number of stage presentations featuring the biggest names in beauty.

Presentations:

On the Center and Salon Centric Stages, you’ll be inspired by the extraordinary artistic talent of today’s leading stylists and platform artists as they share their knowledge, skills and creativity through technical demonstrations and artistic performances. Some of this year's performers include Nick Arrojo, Martin Parsons, Chrystofer Benson, Tabatha Coffey, Sam Villa, Matt Swinney and Rafe Hardy, plus more! See the full list of Center Stage and Salon Centric Stage performers.

NAHA:

Join NAHA veterans and more as they teach you how to transform your visions into looks that stun your clients on the NAHA stage. Learn about Edward Woody’s journey through NAHA, go behind-the-scenes with Christopher Dove and John Simpson from CoCre8 and dive into the world of steampunk with Lisa Yamasaki. See the full list of NAHA Stage performers here.

Nails:

Don’t miss one of ISSE Long Beach’s newest additions–The Nail Spot–which is dedicated to nail professionals. All ISSE Nail events including education, creative demonstrations and NailPro competitions will be held in this new spot.

Don't Miss This:

With an aging population, a range of medical and hormonal challenges, a variety of new products and technologies, and an increased interest for on-demand hair-enhancement solutions, there’s a greater need than ever for salon professionals to understand hair loss and hair enhancement—and how they can provide the expertise and direction to best help their clients.

To keep you ahead of the curve in providing these kinds of solutions and support for your clients, don't miss "Understanding Hair Loss and Hair Enhancement - How you can help your clients before, during and after," by MODERN SALON on Monday, January 30, 12 to 1:30 .m., room 204.

You don’t necessarily need to pay for a class in order to get advanced education, ISSE offers tons of complimentary hair education opportunities from product manufacturers and instructors. Get more information about complimentary hair, nails, skin and business education.

HOW-TO: The Perfect Fringe Trim

Maggie Mulhern | January 18, 2017
