With the royal wedding just days away, the speculation is on for what the bride will wear…and how she’ll wear her hair! We know who will do Kate Middleton’s hair—Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa (shown right) in the Sloane Square neighborhood, London, has been the salon of choice for Kate and the Middleton family for years. It’s where she went before her widely released engagement pictures were taken, and in fact, the Richard Ward staff has confirmed that senior stylist James Pryce styled her engagement-shoot hair.
According to his bio on the salon website, James has been at the Richard Ward salon since 2006. He started his career in the industry for 15 years and has worked in salons like Trevor Sorbie and Daniel Galvin. He is a session stylist and has worked on TV shows and photo shoots as well.
We contacted the Richard Ward salon to see if we could pry any wedding day secrets out of them, but they were (Queen) mum on the subject. “Our relationship with the Middletons has been built on discretion and trust; Richard and his team intend to maintain this relationship whilst respecting Kate’s on-going privacy,” said owners Richard and Hellen Ward in a statement.
One thing we do know: Kate likes wearing her straight brown hair long and loose. We looked at photos of her over the years (see below), and it’s evident that she doesn’t deviate much from this beautiful-but-basic look, whether she’s celebrating her own graduation, attending a formal wedding, or in the audience at a polo match. We’d love to see her break the mold on Friday, April 29, as she transforms from commoner Kate to Princess Catherine during what might be the most-watched wedding in the world.
