A Salon That Offers Yoga

Situated on iconic Sunset Boulevard at the foot of the Hollywood Hills, and scheduled to open this month, Le Posh Salon includes yoga on its extensive list of offerings. The salon has its own intimate yoga studio located on the second floor, featuring a sunny courtyard area for outdoor classes, and a store for luxury yoga accessories. Focusing on complete well-being, the classes promote physical strength and flexibility as well as a calm yet alert mind.

Beginners and experienced yogis alike can choose from classes that fit their personal preferences.

Focus and Flow yoga, taught by instructor McKenna Rowe, combines the flowing movement of Vinyasa yoga—to burn calories and increase the heart rate—with the held postures of Yin yoga, which strengthens connective tissues and creates a deep sense of calm and mental focus.

Lisa Eurich welcomes students at all levels and abilities to wake up their minds and energize their spirits with Energy Flow. A dynamic yogi, Lisa also teaches Yoga Fusion which incorporates core strength, Vinaysa Yoga mixed with gentle Thai Yoga Massage techniques, and Power Yoga, a fitness-based class to challenge the more experienced student.

Stella Wilkins, who will lead Vinyasa Flow, has taught for twelve years and has a knack for helping students surpass mental limitations, maximizing the benefits of their practice. Students may go at their own pace during her high-energy class, which seamlessly weaves together a series of postures designed to raise body heat and purify the system.

Jethro Liou’s experience with the practice is deeply rooted in Ashtanga yoga and polished by the influence of his many seasoned teachers. Jethro encourages his students to focus on physical alignment, core strength and mindfulness in a fluid rhythm using the breath as the underlying current for the practice.

Mary McGinn is a certified Yoga Alliance instructor, dedicated to sharing the joy of yoga with both adults and children. She takes a special interest in human anatomy, physiology, and health, and is pursuing yoga therapy. Her classes are simultaneously calming and invigorating, and offer the perfect balance of strength and form.

To add variety and creativity to the schedule, the Le Posh Yoga will offer specialty classes such as Kids Yoga, Early Bird Yoga, Lunch Hour Yoga, Happy Hour Yoga, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Ladies Night Out Yoga. For example, Candlelight Yoga is a one-hour class that infuses candlelit ambiance and music to de-stress in preparation for a good night's sleep.

Le Posh Yoga will classes are held seven days a week, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The studio offers a free week to all new students, and those who purchase sessions during the first week receive an additional 10 percent off.
