GetAheadStylist.com, A Facebook for Stylists

GetAheadStylist.com, a beauty website designed to close the communication and service gap between stylist and client, is up and running! Industry veterans and co-creators Maria Connelly and Carolyne Osterhues began the site after recognizing the need to increase accessibility between beauty professionals and clientele.

The website gives beauty professionals the opportunity to create an online profile for easier access to their information anytime, not just during salon hours. Personal profiles allow stylists to highlight their work and keep their clients updated easily with the latest trends, hour changes and new offerings. "Our goal is to revolutionize the beauty industry with a world-class marketing tool," says Osterhues. "There is a growing demand for personal appearance services and we want to lead the pack, to be were our market is...online."

Easier accessibility was the main reason co-founder Maria Connelly decided to start GetAheadStylist.com. She noticed a decrease in clients after coming back from maternity leave. "I found myself wishing for a better way to keep in touch with my clients...to let them know I was adding hours, going on vacation, or to see how they liked their hair," said Connelly.

If you are interested in membership, there is a monthly fee of $9.95 or an annual plan of $95.50. The cost can be counted as an itemized tax deduction. The website is free for clients. For more information, please contact Maria Connelly at info@getaheadstylist.com.
