UPDATED (NEW 10-22-10)

Ultimate Beauty Companies Walks for a Cure

For the third year in a row, Ultimate Beauty Companies’ CEO Morad Zahabian, UBC, Sr. Vice President Cynthia Heisser and team of employees and their families participated in the Komen Orange County Race for the Cure(5K) on September 26, 2010 in Newport Beach, CA.

“UBC is committed to walking every year to help raise funds to develop new cancer treatments and raise awareness about prevention and early detection and ultimately save lives,” said Zahabian. “I am proud that my company and all employees are so dedicated to this important cause.”

Participating in the race is part of UBC’s ongoing promise to raising funds and awareness for breast cancer charities, an important cause that has personally affected the family of CEO Morad Zahabian.  To date UBC has raised over $6,500 for cancer charities including Susan G. Komen For the Cure.

Aquage For the Cure

Aquage, known for its salon hair care with healing sea botanicals, has promised to raise a guaranteed minimum donation of $100,000 in 2010 for this empowering initiative of hope through the sales of the special edition Aquage Finishing Hair Spray and Styling Sets. Since 2008, Aquage has raised over $389,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a significant amount that has contributed to great strides in research, treatment and medical discoveries in the effort to find the cures for breast cancer.

"For most of us, becoming a hairdresser was a matter of choice not chance,” says Luis Alvarez, Vice President and Co-Founder of Aquage. “We are driven by a genuine desire to help others knowing that in turn our contribution becomes a powerful force in our own lives. Let's join together and help make a difference in the fight against breast cancer."

Through the sales of Aquage’s special edition breast cancer awareness products, a minimum of $.21 of each gift set or pink hairspray purchased will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, with a projected donation of over $200,000 in 2010.
