In her second time as co-host of the Country Music Association Awards, country darling Carrie Underwood had to be a quick-change artist-she rocked eight different outfits that night during her appearances on stage.

While her hair and her hemlines went up and down, her make-up stayed steadfast. Celebrity make-up artist Melissa Schleicher was responsible for Underwood's versatile look. Here's how you can recreate it for your clients.

Face
The trick here is creating a flawless base that won't come off. "I started first with Olay Moisturizer, then I used Too Faced Primed and Poreless Face Primer, which helps the make-up last longer. I followed that with Sorme Believable Finish, an amazing powder foundation that gives beautiful coverage. The normal girl can wear this and look like a celebrity," says Schleicher.

Eyes
"For big awards shows, we usually do dramatic eyes," says Schleicher. She used Too Faced Naked Eye Kit, starting with the neutral shade, In the Buff, then using Lap Dance, a shimmery powder, all over the lid. To help Underwood's look last all evening, Schleicher wet the eyeshadows before applying. "It creates a more dramatic effect and it also makes it stay put," she says. Schleicher recommends using two sets of lashes to further amp up the look-a full strip along the rims and a half strip at the tips-followed by mascara.

Lips
To balance the dramatic eye make-up, Schleicher completed the look with neutral lips, applying MAC Boldly Bare and topping it with Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Barely Legal.
