Do you watch Ink Master?

If you didn't see the episode on October 16, the tattoo artists were required to create tattoo art in the hair of human canvases as a part of the show's Flash Challenge.

The premise of “Ink Master” is that noted tattoo artists compete in challenges that test their technical skills as well as their on-the-spot creativity, where they must create an execute an original tattoo on a “human canvas.” The contestants are vying for $100,000 and the bragging rights title of Ink Master. In the October 16 episode the artists were tested on creating straight lines and challenged to create a design in the hair, with all contestants using the Wahl Magic Clip and the Tattoo Trimmer.

“Obviously, this is way outside our traditional market, but the concept is something our artists have been doing for years. So, it was fun to see how tattoo artists translate their skills to our medium, using Wahl products,” according to Lance Wahl, Director of Marketing and Sales for the Professional Division of Wahl Clipper Corporation. “We were especially pleased with the strong support we received from our distributors to get the word out about Wahl and Ink Master.”

While the winner of the overall competition has yet to be determined, it was amazing to see some of the hair art that the contestants were able to create. “These were not barbers or stylists, but it was obvious that some of then had worked with clippers before,” Wahl added.
