Mannequins have always been stylists’ best clients—since the beginning at beauty school—always ready for anything and willing to try new things. Now, you will have the chance to work with them again. Matrix has announced their first annual Matrix Mannequin Mania competition—where stylists’ all across the nation can express their creativity and talent by styling a mannequin head however they choose.
Beginning April 1, Matrix will be accepting entries in four categories—Stylists, Students, Salon Team, and Matrix Friends & Family. From the onset of the competition to its completion on July 31, semifinalists will be selected every month—by a panel of judges including top industry professionals and Matrix’s own AVP of U.S. Education, Karrie Fonte. Through the month of August entries will be reviewed and three finalists per category will be selected. All semifinalists will receive $1000 in a giftcard. In September, these three finalists will be narrowed down by the American public into Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.

Grand Prize winners—deemed Matrix Mannequin Mania Masters—of the Student and Salon Team categories will also be visited in their hometowns by Tabatha Coffey and the Mannequin Mania video crew.
After an interview, Tabatha will join them at their salon or beauty school. The Stylist Mannequin Mania Master will go to Tabatha’s Salon in New Jersey. Video footage will then be displayed on the Matrix and mannequin Mania websites. All entrants will receive a free gift card. To enter your personalized and unique mannequin, simply mail it in or upload images to MannequinMania.com.
