Lisa Muscat of e Salon in New South Wales, Australia has taken classic to avant garde looks to represent the inspiration that a hairdresser gets when they touch a head of hair and envision a unique creation. She offers an homage to the decades of hairdressers that have preceded her.
Linear features a wig that was cut into a classic box bob and crimped with mini crimpers. The hair was brushed to accentuate the width of the shape and finished by clipping the outside to achieve the strong perimeter effect.
Fuzz was inspired by the outline of a fur coat. The unique texture was created by pin-setting the hair and brushing it out for a fuzzy appearance and then molded into the desired shape.
Offset is a new twist on the 1970s wedge—an asymmetric cut finished with a forward sweep.
Mermaid is the essential look of the desir collection—tousled and unstructured for a romantic cascade of curls.
Moving Motion is an update of 1940s waves. Classic finger waves were curled and brushed into a wave pattern, clamped into shape and set with a iron.
Modern Romantic uses classic 1950s era rolls and chignons with loose strands for a “lived-in” feel
