Michael Albor, owner of The Loft by Michael Albor salon on Boston’s fashionable Newbury Street, is a finalist in the Hairstylist of the Year category of the 2011 North American Hairstyling Awards.
Albor recently teamed with fashion photographer Conor Doherty and celebrity make-up artist Coco Grace to create this eerily beautiful collection.
This photo shoot is titled Obsession and, in Albor’s words, “The main vibe is quirky women with a strong affinity for birds--an obsession if you will.”
As a master Aquage educator, Albor turned to his Aquage styling products to fashion the hair into intricate, textured nest-like structures.
Albor and Doherty created a set that recalls an attic full of old artifacts, metal and wrought iron fixtures, a rich vintage wardrobe and. of course, birds to compliment the artful and highly textured styles.
