BEFORE AND AFTER: A Color Correction MakeoverMODERN Facebook fan Samantha Murguia, the salon director of Lavish Salon & Day Spa in Riverside, California, sent us this before and after results of her color correction makeover she created on client Marlene, and we KNEW we had to find out how she did it!

Client History
"Marlene has been my client for several years, at that time her formula was Goldwell Max Reds with an overlay of Elumen RR@all + KK@all + PK@all. She had this for about 2 years with Elumen being pulled through each time," she says. "We all know what a pain red is to be removed from the hair especially for being in her hair this long!"

Color Mistake
"Marlene became pregnant and got the 'Make Me Over NOW Syndrome.' She couldn't get an appointment with me so she went to another salon and got highlights on top of her regrowth and old Elumen. BIG MISTAKE!"

Here's how she fixed it:
STEP 1: Decolorized her new growth with Schwarzkopf Professional BlondMe + 7 vol mixed 1:2.5
Her ends were Compact Foiled (Back to Back Foiling) Decolorized with Schwarzkopf Professional BlondMe + 20vol mixed 1:2.5

STEP 2: Shampoo twice with Schwarzkopf Professional BlondMe All Blondes Shampoo (preventing creeping oxidation). Treat with Repair Rescue Treatment (treating and preparing hair for the next color step). Dried her hair. Spray Moisture Kick Spray (hydrate the hair for even color uptake/porosity issues)

STEP 3: Highlight with Schwarzkopf Professional BlondMe + 7 vol mixed 1:2

STEP 4: Apply color around foils
