Leonardo Manetti of ION Studio (ionstudionyc.com) recently created this look created at the Timo Weiland presentation using Davines. The style was inspired by 1960s updos and given a modern twist.
STEP 1: The hair was coated with Davines Defining Creative Moulding Foam for hold and control....
STEP 1: The hair was coated with Davines Defining Creative Moulding Foam for hold and control. Next, hair was brushed and backcombed lightly while drying and then sprayed with Davines Glam Power Spray to increase volume and add texture. Manetti then parted the hair into three sections, working his way from the forehead to the nape of the neck. The front section was parted over the left brow and brushed flat towards the right, securing it in a ponytail behind the right ear.
STEP 2: The remaining two sections were backcombed to create more volume, and then twisted...
STEP 2: The remaining two sections were backcombed to create more volume, and then twisted together into in organic French twist.
STEP 3: After securing it in place with bobby pins, Manetti then took the ponytail and wrapped...
STEP 3: After securing it in place with bobby pins, Manetti then took the ponytail and wrapped it across the French twist, separating the twist into two different sections and the securing it in place within the twist.
