HOW TO: Big Bucks Blonde

Kimemily Pham (@excellenthairsalon) of the Excellent Hair Salon & Spa, Fremont, California met with "Veronica who was in desperate need of a color correction," she says.  "She had a 2 inch band of natural level 3 out growth, the mid shaft was a reddish brown color, and her ends were fried blotchy blonde." Pham's goal was to make her a tasteful blonde using the combination of highlights and balayage techniques. Here she offers the HOW TO on natural level 3 Veronica:

St   ep 1 :  Micro weave the hair using Matrix Light Master blended with 30 volume developer.

Step 2 : Go in between with the same formula and balayage.

Step 3 : On the ends apply Iso Iluminate clear + activator + Moroccanoil on the blonde.

Step 4 : Process for 40 minutes and then rinse and dry the hair completely.

Step  5: Ap ply the base color:  Matix Socolor 6N + 10 volume developer.

Step 6: While the base is processing, mix two shades, in separate bowls, to be used as toner: A: Iso Iluminate 8N + activator.   B: Kenra demi color 8N + 9PV + 9vl developer

Step 7: Alternate toners throughout the hair, overlapping the base color just a bit. Finger smudge the base color and the toner together.

Step 8: Process for 15 minutes and then shampoo and condition the hair.
